I have given the title three months, investing my space and tile in this new title. Based on my spend, I’d estimate that newsagents have invested somewhere between $30,000 and $50,000 in the launch of the title. We have done this without any say in the matter. This is what is wrong with us – we take new titles and support them without expecting to be paid for our time or space. Some new titles don’t deserve our generosity because their publishers do not respect us.
