Lucky Bingo syndicates

In response to questions posted here, we have put together some notes on how we go about running our Intralot Lucky Bingo syndicate at newsXpress Forest Hill.  The information is published here as information and not as advice or a recommendation.

With Golden Casket, the process takes less time to create one than it tooks me to read those notes!!! I hope seeing Tattersalls now has GC it will hopefully introduce our system down there. No taking people’s names, no photocopying, it’s much easier.

I introduced syndicates in my store last year and have grown them considerably. I’d recommend to anyone too scared to have a go and starting with shares for as little as $2-4 like I did. A year later now I’m selling shares worth $200-300 and attracting customers from all around – customers I didn’t have before, but are now regulars.

My other tip would be to take the time to explain to a customer the value in buying a syndicate share, I’ve often found the person waiting behind them listens in then wants to be a part of it. It’s worked well for me.

I’m willing to give anyone a hand if they don’t know how to build them up in store for each draw. I increased the turnover in my business in the last twelve months by $60,000, just by making it part of my routine.

Michael, With our Tatts terminal we can do this more easily. However, our customers like a mix of tickets – hence the manual approach.

I’m sort of talking about taking names down, phone numbers etc. In Qld it’s just like an ordinary ticket that can be registered or not and can be cashed in at any store in the state.

Although I don’t know much about the Tatts/Intralot systems to be honest.

we can do that with tatts. We like the way we do it as it builds community around the game – people notice others who have signed up.

Yes community. We can’t get people’s personal details up here, but I know what you mean. When they have a win they like to let others know then it just builds from there.
