The Queensland Newsagents’ Federation is providing unbiased professional advice to newsagents on pre paid product options, eftpos processing options and steps to take in relation to the Bill Express direct debit. Importantly, the QNF declares that it does not receive any commission or rebate of any kind.
This is how an industry association should act. Maybe they should consider inviting newsagents from outside Queensland to join?
It seems to me that we would be better off if VANA disaffiliated with ANF, and instead joined up with NANA and QNF. Maybe this way we could get a national organisation that represented us, instead of the one we have now.

Those 3 tried a couple of years back but failed. Key issue is the country is 6 states, not 3. It therefore would not be a true national body and the political aspect is it wouldn’t represent all members in all states.
By the way, what has VANA done in this latest shamozzle. Are they as unbiased as QNF in their advise to members and do they have commercial agreements it’s members aren’t aware of?
Perhaps if everyone knew, there might be a few additional member joining.

The ANF has let newsagents down. How can they get away with making money on deals and not telling newsagents.
I emailed the ANF on saturday asking them to verify the rumors on the commissions that they receive from suncorp and supprise supprise no reply.On top of this i also called the ANF about a problem i am having with magazine suppliers well that phone call was 2 weeks ago and still no reply .So what do we need now a federation to sort out the federation ??
An ANF employee told me they do make money off newsagent sales but would not tell me how much. I felt like they were not on my side.
