The Bill Express story from the other side

I have had contact with some former employees of Bill Express overnight, adding a very human element from the other side of the crash of the company. The stories are similar – no knowledge of what was happing higher up, outside their direct area of responsibility; the company was in serious trouble months ago; the various investigations will hopefully get to the truth of the collapse.

One caller had some interesting comments to make about the statement from the Administrator yesterday that the Technology Business companies were “unrelated” to Bill Express.

There is considerable anger at the treatment of employees over the last weeks, the stress and the lack of payment of entitlements. I am surprised that this last issue has not received media attention. Maybe it is because they are IT people, it does not run as well as car workers or process workers being sacked without entitlements.

I understand how they would feel seeing I’ve worked for disfunctional businesses like that.

I’ve just checked my bank account and I have been debited $300 from my account on the 10/7/08 from dialtime, even though I have not used it since Monday (7th).

    Another breach in contract????????

check your paperwork and confirm that there is no reason for the charge. or atleast try and find why they think you owe them that. if you cant find any evidence, ring your bank and get it reversed

    I have Scott.

It doesn’t match up with any transactions or combinations of such.

Looks like they are still operating???

I have them by the balls now.

Perhaps, it’s the monthly rental less commission earned in May08, if you happened to get your bank to stop the direct debit last month.

since they cannot get money through that authority, they are using the dialtime authority.

I have long stopped using dialtime so I stopped both direct debits and then close the bank account at the same time just to avoid this scenario from happening last month.

another thing, a banker told me that if they changed codes they can still debit from your account.
This is bcos your instruction is only to stop a particular code not the company.

The best bet is close that bank account and set up another one making sure to redirect all other valid existing debits and cleared cheques presentations.
