With OzLotto not going off last night the jackpot is now $40 million. This is cause for great celebration. We will certainly go hard with in-store promotions, syndicates and other activity to drive sales. The only dampener to an otherwise great story is the battle many Victorian newsagents continue to have to navigate with Tattersalls and their demarcation dispute with Intralot.
My experience with intralot is not a good one. The machine is too slow or does not work . The retail support is 20 minutues wait on average. The sale of scratchies is good but when it comes to validation and sales of on-line games it is a pain.
Time and motion wise, it is not profitable at this stage.
We are considering not validating or not selling Intralot online games if their machine is slow during Powerball and Oz peak time.
Open another syndicate for Powerball or Oz and try to push the sale may be a better option.

Agreed 40 million jackpot is an Excelent reason to celebrate.
Also agree to the epxeriance with intralot, hands down the worst customer service I have had to deal with along with a terminal that is rushed and cumbersome, with a couple of my staff members unable to read it properly as they are not tall enough. It’s hard to push it to make it profitable but I have been having luck with Lucky Lines pushing something fresh new and fun to play seems to be picking up

The intralot machines are ridiculously slow for us here in WA aswell, and Lotterywest have not even acknowledged this fact.
During the training period, we were promised that all the various pauses we experienced when pushing buttons and performing virtually any task would disappear when the service went ‘live’.
Nothing changed, and now we are stuck with frustrated queues twice as long.
There is not a single retailer in WA that is in any way pleased with how the new Terminals/System perform. The $40million OZ jackpot is going to be a horrible day indeed, the only thing we can do is print out slikpiks in advance to sell to other customers while waiting for the intralot machine to handle more complex transactions.
Don’t expect Intralot to get any better, it’s been live for nearly 6 weeks without a peep from Lotterywest about the problems.
