It is my experience that bagged children’s magazines are less likely to be opened and trashed in-store than car, craft, women’s, surfing and computer magazines. Every day we pick up product trashed by adults. Bags ripped open, freebies missing or on the ground. The example set for children is appalling. The adults ought to be ashamed.
Mark, you can’t blame them though because it’s hard to find out what’s in a magazine when its in a bag.
What magazine publishers should do is when they have an issue in a bag is send the newsagent a copy with the bag for display so that people can look at the magazine without ripping open the bag/magazine.

I’ve thought about opening one up for people to read. But it would have to be one that gets topped on return.
It will probably confuse people though.
