Top Gear Australia recorded strong sales on its first on-sale day yesterday from the data I have seen. We opted to promote the title in three locations: in the car section of our traditional magazine display, above the Herald Sun newspaper and in a power end display.
First day sales have recorded a strong start here as well. The title looks to expand on the existing fan base of the television series without being a “cut and paste” publication.
The semi-established brand gives newsagents a prime opportunity to heavily promote the new title.

This is one of the best launches I’ve seen in the past 18 yrs we have had our newsagency. The point of sale material is great and the stand is sturdy enough to last more then one issue. Great work top gear

I like the way they’ve promoted the new title, but I have a problem with the stand. Mine collapsed under the weight of the magazines inside it (it was about 3/4 full), so now it sits with only two magazines in each of the three pockets.
