If receivers are appointed to Bill Express

If receivers are appointed to Bill Express, newsagents would be well served to make urgent representations to the receiver on the relationship between Bill Express and Technology Business International (TBI). This will matter because newsagents entered into agreements with TBI to fund $25,000 worth of Bill Express equipment on the basis of rebates promised and even “guaranteed” by Bill Express. The viability of the newsagent commitment to TBI was determined by the rebate commitment by Bill Express.

This is on my mind today because some newsagents think that Bill Express collapsing will end their liability over the lease of Bill express equipment.

  1. DEAD BXP

A group of newsagents have received fax from NANA’s solicitor today, which advised newsagent to stop derict debt by BXP/TBI NOW. And not talk to anyone from BXP, TBI or ANF about it. All matters regarding BXP transfer to solicitor.

BXP will die soon. They would not win this case. They just are too “smart”.

My understanding is that this is confidential advice provided by NANA to the newsagents who are party to the legal action. At this time newsagents should ensure they get advice from their own legal representatives.

Can I advise all newsagents who are involved in the class action to keep all opinions and communications about BE to themselves from now on. In order for us to have the best possible chance of a good outcome in this case, we need everything to remain confidential. I have no doubt someone at BE will be reading all these blogs and keeping notes, so the less they know about what is coming the better. This should heve been stressed in the communications so far. Loose lips sink ships I think they said during WW11, nothing has changed

I totally agree with Luke that all information and communication about the status of the class action be kept to themselves from now on.

There is no point in telling everyone else in blogs/email as the advice we receive may not be relevant to others.
Info in the wrong hands ie BillExp would only jeopardise the class action’s legal work.

Whoever is in the class action would have received the necessary communication. Those that have not would mean that they have not joined the cause.

ok we all get the point that it is confidential, four comments later. It is a shame that out siders have access to the site because it does make an interesting read ,reading all about other peoples thoughts on bill express.

Shaun, I’m like you and love to read people blowing off steam about BE but what I didn’t like to see is the specifics of the class action being thrown about. The more newsagents vent, then the more other people understand how big the problem is and that they are not alone. BE deserves to be ripped apart from frustrated newsagents and I encourage that in this forum but leave the details to the men in wigs.

Yes i agree . On the topic of bill express for 3 weeks now i have been sending them faxes and calling them about getting out of my contract all to be ignored ,every time i call them they say that it was not received and then i get a different number to fax it to .Being in a small town there is a get out clause if sales can’t be met and i am trying on that one .obviously it is not going to work but i will give anything a go at the moment .Ihave just been holding off from closing the direct debit from my account in case i end up with a large bill at the end of it all which i just can’t afford to happen .

Have you tried sending them a registered letter that needs to be signed for when it is recieved. Then if they say it was not recieved then you will have a name and signiture of who ever “lost” the letter.
