Newsagents are wondering what to make of the response from Bill Express yesterday to queries from the ASX in the light of the decision by them to reduce their financial commitment to and support of newsagents. On a related matter, some I have spoken with who have advised Bill Express of their decision to exit the relationship say they are having difficulty actually moving this forward. The extraction process seems broken at the Bill Express end.
Newsagents should note 3 or 4 advertisers on the Bill Express instore screen. The screens might then suddenly and mysteriously go blank. They could then telephone the Marketing Department of the advertisers and advise that the screens aren’t working and suggest to the advertisers that they make a claim of Bill Express since the ads are not being viewed.
I can see a substantial claim from Alinta Gas right away and perhaps that may just focus the Bill Express folk on the ramifications of their actions. Or not.
