Charging for newspaper backorders

I was disappointed to discover that the Herald and Weekly Times has introduced a charge of $1.50 for handling a newspaper backorder. That newsagents could offer the service for the cover price of the newspaper was a good customer service story from newsagents and the publisher. Now, with this charge, we take a step away from how things used to be. If the H&WT is charging why not newsagents? Maybe we should. I doubt we will. That a customer wants a backorder and you can get this for them reinforces the brand. This fee tarnishes the brand.

If we get charged a backorder fee, i pass it straight on to the customer. I have had no complaints to date. As long as the back order policy is explained to the customer at the time of ordering.
Why should i absorb further costs passed on by publishers!

On Friday you told me I was banned. You attack me for allegedly doing that. Then you showed that you do it. Worst of all no one here was given a warning. You should have told people here that you were doing it.

Next if you want to take this further you are welcome to send a technical guy over to my company to look over the blog to see that the comments I’ve banned have only been over language, Viagra and breast improvement programs. The program I use is b2evolution, which is a reputable software blogging program with audit trails so he should be able to confirm what I say.

Finally if anyone really is interested in finding out the truth on that meeting they are welcome to see the emails that went back and forwards and my diary entries.

Bernard, You appear obsessed with Tower Systems. You might do better to focus on your own business – your customers need you. In the meantime and for the record I note that you as recently as yesterday banned a comment critical of your company from your blog. While you can do this, you cannot stop the criticisms of pos solutions in the marketplace.

Your business is in trouble, this is why I offered to purchase it (in writing) early in June this year.

You continue to lie in your comments here about meeting with me to discuss you buying Tower Systems. No such meeting took place. Your obsession with the lie has now become a joke.
