When developing the layout for our card and gift shop we decided to move from the traditional wrap fixtures. Instead we went for this unit:
We are so happy with the results that we are using an expanded version of this display in a new newsagency we are involved in. Customer feedback has been wow! and that is enough for is to copy the idea.
Certainly we notice that customers are more likely to touch the product and any retail expert will tell you that once a customer touches a product they are more likely to purchase.
We indicated to shopfitters and our wrap supplier that were were not going to be using traditional fittings some time ago. I saw a picture of the social stationary paper, in your newsagency, that you posted here and thought it was a brilliant display.
Not only does it display product better, it is easly adjustable when used in slatwall. Having modular fittings is always a preferable bonus.

When I went into the gift shop for the first time about a week ago, I actually thought they were more of those Cristina Re paper sets, but it wasn’t until I picked the paper up that I realised it was wrapping paper. The designs are really nice and they would attract to a more younger market at a different centre, possibly moreso than the older demographic at FH.
